Aerosmith goes back to their roots with a dozen hard-rocking blues covers. The band is obviously having a great time, and the combination of high energy, great musicianship, and brilliant song selection makes this disc a must-have for Aerosmith fans or blues aficionados. Put it in the car stereo, crank it up, and take it out on the highway!

not bad, but not my type of music

They did a good job of turning blues songs into rock songs, and the harmonica was great, but this album wasn't one of my favorites. It just didn't fit my taste. I much preferred "Permanent Vacation" and "Nine Lives", which I also just bought. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's not bad, but it will end up pushed behind my other CD's and forgotten. The one song I liked was "Jesus is on the Main Line".

Aerosmith did a fine job on this CD,these guys are no stranger to Blues,one song comes to mind is "the big ten inch".I give this CD a Thumb up.

These guys haven't made an honest effort at making music in over 20 years; They sold out and started making "product" instead. Now, after all these years, they decide to make a real rock 'n' roll CD, and it's decided during the mastering process to crank the volume so high that the peaks clip and the overall sound becomes very compressed! I have a volume control, so why do they feel a need to do this? This band can't win for losing.

One of Aerosmith's best records.

I honestly wasn't too excited when I heard the band was going to do a covers album. In an interview Joe Perry gave in Metal Edge magazine a few years ago, he made it sound like they were going to do a blues style record of their 'own' material. So I was kind of disappointed at first. However, once I bought this cd I could not get it out of my stereo. The songs are all great, the production is great, and the guitars really sound awesome. Steven Tyler really sounds incredible on vocals from beginning to end. The whole thing just flat out rocks and it continues to grow on me to this day. Hopefully, the intensity on this album rubs off on their next album.
